the proble is not so much the quantification as a problem in for example becoming data that influences social security, governmentality etc, but the very quantification as a relation to the body and the self.

as long as these new ways to relate to the body respect the existing relations to the body its not a problem, but it is when the issue of the interaction between the two is not voiced and quantification just becomes the most efficient way to deal with the self.
